What model ship would make an appropriate time-travel craft for a dozen or so 28mm near future travelers? These are the travelers: TMP link This is one of their destinations: TMP link What do you recommend? Thanks. CC link |

A puddle jumper. Holds four in the pilot area, and room for 8 in the rear compartment. Add the time dialation devise, and there you go. I have completed my Mark II Jumper, with several details worked out, including a rear hatch locking tab. Much more sporty than the Mk.I. |

Artslave, Any photos or sketches of what the "puddle jumper" looks like? Thanks. CC |

Oops, sorry. Meant to put a link to a photo. link These are pictures of the Mark I. I'll add pics of the much cooler MkII. I have plans and basic assembly instructions written-up. I am trying to put them into a managable file format. |

In the Bob Morane series, time machine usually ressemble classic flying saucers. Maybe Doc Brown could convert a van or a bus into a hovering 88 mph time craft
Just a couple of random ideas. |

The basic 28mm Puddle Jumper builds up from a cardboard tube, with craft foam "armour" plates glued on the outside. I built the interior from matt board, cardstock and bits of wood. I have scans of the tracings of all the componants, and a text write-up discription, but how to post? Adobe seems like a good choise, but I only have "reader", so can't convert the word docs. to this. I could send a copy via snail-mail, while I figure out the various options that will work with my dial-up connection. BTW, I am starting that cave building project this weekend. Hot, sticky weather means a happy retreat to the cool basement. I'm using your suggestions of wire supported foam on MDF. This should be fun! |

I would think that they would need a bit more space for equipment and land vehicles, maybe something like this: link auction |

Artslave, do you have access to a scanner. Maybe make a tiff or jpeg or even a pdf file that way. Could email it then. (That's what we often do at work.) |

Good suggestion, Dravi74. I have a scanner, and that is how I got this far. I have to cut the file size so that I can send it. I have a dial-up, and up-loading files takes mucho time. Meanwhile, any burp in the connection means lost data. I originally put together a PowerPoint program, but not everyone will have that. A friend has offered to convert the file to Adobe, and that should do the trick. The aptly mentioned pringles tube would be too small for my Stargates and figures, but might be perfect for 15s or 20s. |
