You REALLY like dogs don't you? ;-)) |

Some will be wolf predators, others as early dog companions to prehistorics, others as 16th century hounds. And if I want an entire pack of post-apocalyptic wild dogs, well, I can use all of them! CC PS. And yes, I LOVE dogs. I cannot believe I never had miniature dogs (for 28mm) before. |

I'm shocked that the Vendel mastiffs aren't on the list. (Unless you already have 'em, obviously
.) |

You might also want to add the wolfhounds from Thunderbolt Mountain (they can be purchased separately from the Wood Elf Huntsman with Dogs). Superb canine anatomy, on those two. Hardly proto-dogs, but great for 16th Century hounds. The Foundry used to have a "sheepdog", as well. Sadly it wasn't a Border Collie, but merely a bobtail (Old English Sheepdog). A killer bobtail might be an interesting addition to a post-apocalypse game. |

I have a pack of wolfhounds for my 15mm line. They would obviously be small 25mm wolfhounds but might work as smaller dog types. If you are interested you can look here link . David |

Some other nice dog figures
link link The WW dogs paint up really well, and the Excelsior dogs are often found on eBay with a search under "chronopia", they used to be sold in packs of 4 or 5 w/o the hunter. |

And for super-wolfhounds, GW should have the two that accompany the new Wood Elf King Orion available as bitz before too long. BIG dogs

David, Would those work as smaller dogs for 25m? Or are they too small for that? CC |
Splintered Light Miniatures | 26 Jan 2006 3:20 p.m. PST |
CC, Yes, I think they would work as small-medium 25mm dogs. If you send an email to splinteredlightminis@earthlink.net , I will be happy to email a picture of one next to a 28mm figure to you. David |
Cacique Caribe | 26 Jan 2006 3:25 p.m. PST |

Guys, It might please some to know that I have just submitted an Eureka 100 Club request for the following: Dingoes (suitable also as Carolina Dogs – for those needing canine companions for their early Americans) Description of Figure: 4-6 Dingo dog variants (suitable also as Carolina Dogs, for those who may want to have canines for their early Americans), in various poses (at least these four poses: walking, running, standing alert, sniffing ground). References: Please use the following links as a guide: link link link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingo Very similar (in general build, size and appearance) to the Carolina Dog: link link Is anyone else interested?
