Whichever spelling you prefer, these are the fellows I will be working on in the coming weeks. I am actually packing to work in Louisiana again. I am trying to customize BTD Ethiopians and Foundry Darkest Africa figures to supplement my "Foundry Afro-Caribbean Renegades". I think they will be useful with any 16th (and, conceivably, 17th century) scenario in the Caribbean and Africa. The links I am finding on the matter are amazing. I can't believe how afraid the Spanish were of them and how the Sea Dogs saw the advantage of making them their allies, particularly in Panama. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cimarrons link nosrednam.com/document1.htm PLEASE, If anyone out there has come across others and wishes to share, it will be greatly appreciated. I am in Shreveport today and tomorrow. Then I will drive to Baton Rouge, where I will spend the next 4-5 weeks. I hope I have enough time to work on the figures I brought with me! CC |

For those who want to game with figures of CIMARRONES, I have just added a photo to the Practical Soldier albums: link They are apparently Foundry "El Dorado Afro-Caribbean Renegades", not listed on the web site but are available if requested by phone. Hope this helps. CC |
