And GameRocket delivers at rocket speeds! I ordered my Super Battle Droids a couple of days ago (to become Battlestar Galactica Cylons) and I just received them! TMP link All of them are exactly what I ordered, and they look perfect, already painted and shaded. What a deal (11 painted droids on round bases for $11.59, plus $5.20 USD postage)! CC |

Should I have ended each post with the now-familiar "I am not a sockpuppet" footnotes? I am ecstatic and cannot wait to share it with everyone else! CC |

Arturo, Stop that!!! Yes, I get it. You thought it was funny when I called you earlier and said that I was resorting to some ready-made minis (StarWar minis as Cylons). CC |

I am still laughing, bro! |
| Cacique Caribe | 17 Jan 2006 2:53 p.m. PST |
Their height is intimidating too. They average 36 or 37mm! CC |
| arturo rex | 17 Jan 2006 3:03 p.m. PST |
Sorry man. I don't think the Cylon robots are almost 30% taller than humans in the new show. |

Awww
You had to rain on his parade!!! =D |
| Cacique Caribe | 17 Jan 2006 4:31 p.m. PST |
I don't think my math is that off: If my humans are 30mm tall (28mm to the eyes) representing people about 5'8" (68 inches), with "Cylons" at 36mm, then the "Cylons" are only about 82 inches tall, which is 6 feet 10 inches, right? CC |
| Roberto Cofresi | 17 Jan 2006 4:40 p.m. PST |
Arturo, 30mm vs 36mm is just a 20% difference. The math looks right. |

Update: Unfortunately, No matter how I primed them, they did not take paint successfully. It will be a very long time before I try plastics again. Too bad. They were very descent figures and quite a deal too. CC |
| Cacique Caribe | 24 Apr 2007 11:12 a.m. PST |
Wow. I just looked at the links again and their prices have quadrupled since I purchased those figures! This is how much I paid for them originally: 1 SWCS47 Super Battle Droid @ $2.09 USD 1 SWCS48 Super Battle Droid @ $2.09 USD 2 SWSI39 Super Battle Droid @ $0.89 USD 2 SWSI40 Super Battle Droid @ $0.89 USD 3 SWU10 Super Battle Droid @ $0.63 USD 2 SWU11 Super Battle Droid Commander @ $0.98 USD Total: 11 "Cylons" on round bases for $11.59 USD (plus $5.20 USD postage) Too bad I gave them away. So CC, when you say that they are 36 or 37mm, is that after you glue on the missing heads? I think the BS folks watched SW enough to see that adding necks to droids was a bad move with heads detaching and all, so really them not having necks is a good tactical move, eh? |
| Cacique Caribe | 24 Apr 2007 1:52 p.m. PST |
LOL. If I can figure out that priming and painting thing, I might be able to "appropriate" them again from my nephew. >:) I think the problem is that the original paint is not bonded sufficiently to take additional priming/paint on top of it. Oh well . . . CC |

I am combining those Battle Droids with these: link Together, they will be battling Battlefield Evolution's British forces ala the Terminator movies. |

Those ARE really pretty cheap
Anybody looking for "rubber suit alien" types especially should be all over those (-;) |

BTW, the ne BSG Cylon Centurions are usually 7 ft tall, and they can vary their height by about 2 feet if needed (Gving them a height range of 5 to 9 feet) |

91Bravo, what an excellent idea. BFE also has the Technicals that appeared in the movies as well. |
| Jake B | 26 Apr 2007 6:33 p.m. PST |
Why bother to prime them? They already have a base coat, so paint directly over that. At least, that's what I would try first. I haven't repainted any pre-painted plastics yet. I know a lot of people have. Someone out there must have specific notes on how they succeeded. |
