On this other discussion, it seems the Cylon minis are taken care of:

What do you suggest for the Colonial troops?

Something with a uniform like "Helo's" would be nice:

I'm amazed at the number of Canadians on the show. Must be the industry's best kept secret. I always knew Lorne Green was one of us, but that was the original series…

Well, it is filmed in Vancouver.

No doubt somewhere we find that the lost tribes were from Canada, and only the rest of us stayed behind on Earth.

Actually lots of sci fi shows are filmed in Canada now a days.

Well…isn't STARGATE SG:1 and Atlantis filmed there…and wasn't FIREFLY filmed there, (or parts of it???). It seems that even some 'New York locales' are actually filmed in CANADIAN cities…as was 'Meatballs' with Bill Murray?

I always thought it suspicious that pine trees and mountains like those in CANADA always seemed to show up in almost EVERY SG:1 Episode…but that they could find just about any 'alien terrain' they needed IN Canada…(Although wasn't FARSCAPE filmed in Australia or was that Cananda too????)

I guess it's because the facilities in Canada aren't as 'rife' with union issues or as 'jaded/set in their old ways' as 'HOLLYWOOD BABYLON' seems to be…but don't quote me on that. I just know a lot of cool series come out of the Canadian studios…scifi and other police/crime/drama series. (Didn't TOUCHING EVIL, FOREVER KNIGHT and similar 'goodies' come from 'north of the border'???)

I think it's 'great'…I'd rather see QUALITY TV/Movies come out of CANADA than a lot of the same old 'stuff' come out of a decadent/'good old boys'/meet the producer's couch mentality that seems 'set in concrete' at Mann's theater as in 'Hollywood'…

Viva La Difference!

Did I tell you my latest 'RPG' character in a SAVAGE WORLDS scifi adventure that a friend is running…is a former RCMP officer, (named Stella Starr of course)…who 'transferred' over to the Triplanetary Space Police Federal Marshal's program…(Ala' McCloud/Dennis Weaver in NYC)…and now tracks down space pirates in the Kuiper Belt????

Toodles for now…

the actors get paid in canadian dollars so the studio saves a whoppibg 35-40% =P

How about one of America's favorite Icons?

Superman was Canadian!

That's right, Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster were Canadian, and Metropolis was modeled after buildings and places in Toronto.

Do your homework and beat THAT!

Okay, put down the stick…

I think that any modern troops would work!

Modern troops likely would work. They look pretty much like any modern force or anti-terrorist organization but they wear all black all the time.

Or just wait until Mongoose comes up with B5 Earth Alliance troops.

OR Monggose buy the Galatica rights and do 2 games – one starship combat and one planetside troops v cylons game – perhaps as a skirmish. I think Mongoose would do a very good job with the license.

That would be FANTASTIC!

My TAG Swat guys I've discovered are BANG ON for Colonial Marines and I'm looking forward to getting more to pit against the 18+ Star Wars Battle Droids as toasters I won on eBay.

If done properly in 28mm-30mm, these might actually serve a dual role:

CC, those AREN't Colonial Marines… They are Colonial "Warriors", who happen to be the ones who fly the ships (Raptors, Vipers", etc… As I hear that there may be some new fighters being brought in for seasons four and five…

These new Heresy figures might be an option for some of the BSG types:
