Looks like Gripping Beast is closing their doors. link The owners are going to retire and thus won't be casting any more metal. Unless someone decided to take over, I would suggest getting any orders that you want in now. |

That's very bad news. 90% of my figures are Front Rank; they really are wonderful sculpts. Fortunately I put in a big order earlier this year. |

I should have rated my Viking army as "Complete," but it seemed that every year Gripping Beast would bring out a few more packs and I would just have to have several of them. I liked their character figures, often drawn from the sagas, especially since the Icelandic sagas were one of the things that inspired me to get into Vikings. I also appreciated their supporting items, like the ships, buildings, livestock, and tables set for a feast. Which reminds me, I never got around to buying that ornate Viking cart based on the one found in the Oseberg ship burial in Norway. Grelber |
