Great work! Notably, all the buildings look like they were b built once upon a time, then various owners added rooms or porches to them. Not all the same, cookie cutter buildings.

Thanks a lot. You've got an excuse to stuff yourself with pizza now – for the boxes, of course.

The roofs on most of the upper floors are removable so rooms can be occupied one at a time. Or with skirmish games; even have a small battle with opposing forces chasing each other around the house!

Thanks. My true love is Portugal. At the Arapiles village, near the Salamanca battlefield, I saw one-story buildings which seem to have been for animals and people. Then people would build rooms above them. So on the older buildings you get scruffy lower floors with low ceilings, and then steps added later to smarter living spaces above. Which could be wider than the ground floor.

Inspiring work. It reminds me to complete some buildings for my Feudal Spanish and Andalusians – I can't really justify a Napoleonic Peninsula project sadly . . .

What would feudal Spanish be for – the Reconquest?

Once the basic oblong is made, it's quite pleasant of an evening drinking beer and adding little things as I think of them like porches and stairs.

Woolshed Wargame and yourself will have to show us what you come up with.

In Portugal, I'd love to do the shiney outside wall tiles they have to keep the house cool. They're these 5" white things with intricate scenes baked on in blue. Let me know if you've any ideas. Print them, I guess, but wood glue to give them a shine can dissolve printing ink. Could cover them in transparent sheet but not sure if that would retain the tiled look.

Yes, the earlier part of the reconquista. Given the glacial speed at which I achieve anything it may be a while but I'd love to put something up.

I've seen the type of tile you describe when I was in Portugal 40 years ago. Would a gloss varnish over the printed tiles not do the trick?

Trouble is, that anything I've ever tried to cover self- printed stuff with, smudges it. Certainly spirit-based lacquer does. Perhaps undiluted wood glue would work.

Any ideas what else I can add?
