This gives some idea what you can make using cardboard from the supermarket and a pizza box.

Scale is 1/72. The only especially-bought item was pantiles from Will's kits (code, SSMP206) for the roofs. Lacking those, I have made roofs using the protective cardboard surrounding a packet of circular biscuits (which I used later).

So here's where I used the cardboard surrounding a packet of biscuits because it has a wavy surface. I used my nails to make the wavy paper have sharp edges and used that for the outside steps.

Kebab sticks split in two are used for the guttering. Wooden coffee-stirrers with a bit of a black wash, then covered with wood-glue are perfect for terrace flooring

When the wash is dry I use a white dry brush. I sometimes think that makes everything look frosty, but it seems to work here; removing darkness from things that should be catching the light like the crests of the tiles and the corners of buildings.

Matchsticks are useful for lintels and bannisters but for longer things like the gutters and wall-supports split kebab sticks are the best.

Or, in this case, for a metal chimney.

Pizza-box cardboard is excellent for small, flat things like the shutters.

The clothes hanging out to dry are just coloured adverts cut from supermarket magazines.
