Editor Katie sent me a message asking me to Verify my email address. So I obediently follow the link, leading to my Profile page, only to see there this note: "Note: Google/Gmail is currently rejecting verification emails. "

So I am on gmail like many TMPers no doubt, so I received no Verification email and have no way to do so. I cannot complete this process as described or requested.

What's going on with this circular loop of futility?

Going on to a link in a message that purports to come from a trusted source is becoming increasingly dangerous as scamming increases. TMP may need to create a way to verify independently, by going directly onto their site?

That's no longer accurate. I'll fix in when I am back in the office.

So I am on gmail like many TMPers no doubt, so I received no Verification email and have no way to do so.

Since this is the weekend, your verification request is probably still in the queue, and the email will be sent on Monday.

TMP may need to create a way to verify independently, by going directly onto their site?

Wouldn't that require a link too?

All verification email requests have been handled.

No error messages from gmail, so hopefully everything went through.
