"The Pledge August 2024" Topic

Well this was an easy post to write, I just copied and pasted from last month :-) Still no painting but no buying either so at least the pile isn't getting bigger. I did get some organizing done in the workroom.

This was not a good month. I took a couple weeks out of the middle for a vacation. I worked on things, but nothing got finished. <Sigh>

Back in April, I had contacted a dealer about buying some figures when they became available. They finally became available in the second half of the month, so I paid for them and the 17 of them duly arrived. I'm happy with the figures, I just wish I had some production to set against them.

August came and I dived back into non-people figures (Terrain, scenery, animals, etc.). I didn't get as much done as I wanted And no real buildings completed, although a few are in various stages of completion.
I took approx. 1-2 weeks in days off from painting, due to illness, the heat and humidity, some appointments, and having to get a new vehicle, as well as finishing up the horror of a massive poison ivy outbreak.
But here's my numbers:

This month (Sept) it's back to figures, (troops, pirates, some cowboys and pulp figures, etc…)

I finished up a 100 figure infantry sprue of the Epic ACW troops, and I painted the bases of around 48 54mm Napoleonic figures. All in all, I didn't do much, but I beat the previous month in which I don't think I did anything at all.
