Hello everyone,
Where to find 20mm metal figurines of Mamluk from Egypt and Arabs from Syria for the Egyptian campaign,the famous French military expedition, led in Egypt and syria by General Bonaparte and his successors from 1798 to 1801.

TimePortal19 Jun 2024 11:22 p.m. PST

Much easier if you went 15mm or 25mm scale. Minifigs used to have all forces for the campaign available.

@TimePortal
Yes, much easier if I had opted for a 15 mm or 25 mm scale, but in this case I would not have needed any help.

If you don't mind the exaggerated style (it's a personal aesthetic choice) then the 18mm range of Mamluks by Lancashire Games has a huge rage of variants in their Napoleon in Egypt ranges.

@BillyNM
Thanks but 18mm?

Why not 20mm?

Grattan54 Supporting Member of TMP20 Jun 2024 7:56 a.m. PST

I think they may be telling you there is nothing in 20mm.

What Grattan said.

Sadly, that may be the case if you stick to metal, however, 3d printed figures can be scaled, but some are sculpted for a specific scale. The sculptor linked below works in 1/72 scale, ie; 20mm and has Egyptian campaign figures, both mamelukes and French:

Newline Designs has both French and Ottoman/Mamluk listed on their website in 20mm.
Hope this helps,

Also Hagen Miniatures has 1/72 Ottoman and French in Egypt too.

Irregular Miniatures also do Napoleonic Turks but from what I have seen of their range, they are a small 20mm – not 1/72.

@DeRuyter
Thank you for the link because it's funny what he does.

@Son of MOOG
Thank you Tom this helps me, because I had forgotten that Newline Designs and Hagen Miniatures offered these ranges.

@Trockledockle
Thanks, but it's true that with 'irregular miniatures' size is always a problem.
