So, I have a short family visit to central Madrid, and I should have a half day here and there in which to indulge myself. I have earmarked the Naval Museum, and some of the hobby shops mentioned here:

I'd also be interested in bookshops which sell uniform books and the like (especially if remaindered)! Any other recent top tips?

I think there is a statue of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza there.

Hi Colkitto

Just an update about this shop:
Hobby's Vicente: Calle de Andres Mellado, 25 lot of plastic kits and good source for 1/72 plastic minis (Zvezda, Hat, Caesar Strelets etc)
Is definitively close.

Check out also the Tercio Viejo Bookshop:

Across the street you can't find also a model shop.

Enjoy Madrid

Hi PB

That sounds ideal. Thanks very much!

But a great pity about Hobbies Vicente – I'd have enjoyed a visit.

Hi Colkitto,

Indeed it's a pity, the last months of activity were quite stressful for the owner, due to the Brexit consequences on imported stuff, he decided to stop and retired, now he's doing some modeling meeting where the people share hints and tips.

Ah yes, another Brexit dividend …
