Two Shermans and a Pershing versus a Panther and some Panzer IVs fighting near Colgne (Koln) cathedral.

Warning, there is graphic footage with a Sherman crew baling-out of their vehicle after it is hit.

The Pershing was experimental and probably the only operational Pershing in Europe in WW2.

The Pershing was experimental and probably the only operational Pershing in Europe in WW2.

About 20 Pershings saw action in Europe during late WW2 , only 1 Super Pershing may have seen action in Europe .

I have seen the clip, but that web site is fantastic, thanks for linking it.

Two points of interest – the German TC may have hesitated to fire on the Pershing because he did not immediately recognize it as a US tank! Secondly this really points out how the outcome can be determined by the first shot, especially at 100-200 meters!

That's incredible how they pieced that all together blending the modern tech with the old films and photos!
