great work, yes with a bit of effort you can create unique pieces which look inspirational.

Au pas de Charge10 Jun 2023 5:41 p.m. PST

Westphalians? 1814-1815 Neapolitan? Some of their Guard units are unique.

I actually think the Young Guard from the earlier 1813 period in plumes could use a march attack version. Mounted Middle Guard Officer. I wouldnt mind a few coaches for Napoleon and for Joseph.

Also some of Josephs more exotic units such as the Guard Fusiliers and those La Mancha Lancers

Au pas de Charge13 Jun 2023 6:41 a.m. PST

Also, both sappers and drum majors are under represented.

I'd love to see the Dutch make their promised appearance. Along with Danish/Norwegian.

Personal logo Old Contemptible Supporting Member of TMP15 Jun 2023 6:20 p.m. PST

Did they though? Much suggestion that that is an oft-represented fantasy (which would be a shame!)

Yes, I understand that but I would like the option of doing so.

Au pas de Charge15 Jun 2023 6:38 p.m. PST

Mentioned in this thread above, just the re-worked French artillery and additional crews are enough to make the mouth water.

According to this other thread, the Dutch were ready last summer!

Along with personalities such as Murat, more French line grenadiers in bearskins, a bearskin grenadier drummer, 1809-esque Chasseurs marching and firing with epaulets, and more variants for various major powers line infantry.

This all stuff that was good to go a while back. Considering AB has got to be Eureka's biggest seller, one wonders what the hold up could be?

Im grateful for whatever I can get my paws on but these are things that Tony said were ready!

Au pas de Charge01 Jul 2023 12:29 p.m. PST

@Redcurrent and Napoleonic coach fans.

Have any of you considered this 15mm Minifigs stage coach? It looks like enough of the parts that make it "Wild West" could be left off to make a closed coach for King Joseph, Napoleon, Emperor Francis etc…?

I dont know that it is a perfect historical replica but some enamel paint and the right coat of arms it might just work.

Eureka have added the Kingdom of Holland infantry.

They do look good, just for the Hussars and artillery to do.

Au pas de Charge23 Jul 2023 5:34 p.m. PST

I wanted to add that Id love to see earlier Young Guard in more of an advancing march attack pose. I'm not a huge fan of the standing in reserve pose.

Redcurrant15 Aug 2023 2:21 a.m. PST

On the Eureka (Australian) website, there are new versions of the French Artillery on display.

huevans01116 Aug 2023 3:13 p.m. PST

Much as I love Tony Barton – a man who changed my life immeasurably for the better 30 years ago and ever since!!! – I wonder if it wouldn't be more profitable and interesting for him to start another period – i.e. WSS or Crimea.

We really are down to the "odds and ends" stage with his vast Napoleonic collection.

Carta202217 Aug 2023 9:08 a.m. PST

As if Mr Baton doesn't have enough on his long to do list, I would like to see figures firing whilst kneeling. There seems to be a real lack of this pose.
Regards.
Alan.

StillSenneffe17 Aug 2023 12:43 p.m. PST

I'd love to see a proper 1740s European WAS/Jacobite era range in 18mm. I can just imagine Anthony Barton's rendering of the 1742 clothing book/Morier soldiers. Equally, the French/Austrians/Prussians/German states illustrated by Gudenus a few years earlier. Some of the most characterful images of the horse and musket era IMHO.

Redcurrant09 Oct 2023 8:49 a.m. PST

Got my Kingdom of Holland infantry yesterday, at the other Partizan show. They are very good, but I will have to order more Fusiliers as Eureka only had a small selection available.

A family emergency meant that they couldn't take all the AB figures with them.

Now we just wait until the Saxon Lt-horse lancers, the Hesse-Darmstadt lt dragoons, and the Polish Hussars come out.

stephen116217 Oct 2023 8:26 a.m. PST

Here's a request –

Right now the limbers all come with 6 horses. Many rule sets require only 2 or 4 horses per limber so I have purchased extra limbers from other manufacturers.

Is it possible to sell limbers individually similar to the canons?

Stephen

Redcurrant18 Oct 2023 6:03 a.m. PST

Stephen1162 –

good idea, then you can just get the number of horses per limber as your rules determine.

Carta202220 Oct 2023 6:57 p.m. PST

Hi Stephen, Eureka Miniatures do in fact now sell the
new AnX1 limber separately. But not the Gribeauval version.

link

They are currently in stock, in the USA.

Redcurrant22 Oct 2023 12:40 p.m. PST

New releases (for late October) :

Set7 – Marshal Bessieres, and Murat

French Light Infantry – Chasseurs with epaulettes

Imperial Guard – Sapeurs de la Genie de la Garde

stephen116223 Oct 2023 4:58 a.m. PST

Carta,

Thanks for the update.

I hope they start selling the separate limbers for all nationalities.

Stephen

Carta202223 Oct 2023 8:19 a.m. PST

Hi Stephen,I am sure if you ask Nic nicely he will send/sell you any imber of any nation you want.
Regards.
Alan.

Bear0105 Nov 2023 10:05 a.m. PST

I would personally like to thank you Anthony for the superb figures you have sculpted, the ears, the nations, the various uniforms, and the poses. You truly made the best figures in the 15mm & 18mm scales. You transformed the world of wargaming figures. My hat is off to you and everything you have done for the hobby. A standing ovation for Anthony everyone!!!

As for figures.

ACW: different variations in the ACW flag bearers, some of the odd units like the Pennsylvania Bucktails, the VMI cadets (young looking lads), Rush Lancers, 1st Virginia Cavalry, Ambulances & Supply wagons, Zouaves in Turbans, Infantry in winter overcoats.

Napoleonic era: Portuguese Generals & ADC's, different poses for Portuguese Infantry wearing the Barretina, Portugues Cavalry in helmets, Wurttemburg Generals and ADC's, Italian Garde D Honour, Russian Tarters & Kalmuks & Bashkirs, more Duchy of Warsaw Generals and ADC's, Duchy of Warsaw Karkus (1813), Hanoverian Infantry with soft backpacks & soft caps, Danish & Swedish armies. Maybe some light cavalry skirmishing (firing rifles). Austrian Landwehr with flag poles,

As for different time periods: Maybe Seven Years War, American Revolution.

Just some thoughts.

Redcurrant13 Dec 2023 5:40 p.m. PST

Nic has released a veritable batch of figures the minor nations of the Napoleonic Wars.

Redcurrant14 Jan 2024 4:11 p.m. PST

I was wondering if Mr Barton could do a 'what was produced in 2023'.

This is so that we can realise what has being produced (and is with Eureka), what is being worked on, and what is in the 'to do' list.

Phillip H15 Jan 2024 2:22 p.m. PST

Even if someone else has already covered a subject, I expect a Barton rendition would find an eager market! I've only recently become acquainted with the line, and it immediately won my admiration.

Wherever the artist's spirit moves, we will be gratified.

(I don't mean any critique of suggestions, which were solicited; I just want to add my voice to those previously expressing thanksgiving.)

Redcurrant29 Jan 2024 5:32 p.m. PST

One further addition would be 'Hungarian Grenadier firing and loading'.

In all honesty I dont know what the difference would be to the German Grenadier firing and loading.

Valmy9230 Jan 2024 5:28 a.m. PST

Redcurrant, the difference is the legwear just like all German v. Hungarian infantry in the Austrian army.

MontyIggo02 Feb 2024 3:02 p.m. PST

I have recently purchased units of the recently newly produced figures including Guard Engineers, Polish Cavalry, Hesse Darmstadt Cavalry,Dutch infantry, Bavarian Light infantry, Baverian Line infantry. Von Lutzows infantry as well as sundry other units.
I would like to thank Tony for his continue defforts in expanding his wonderful range of figures.
I am always miss the request for suggested figures for the remainder of the year so i thought i would get in early and ask what Tony's plans are for/already in the pipe line in order that i don't suggest figures that are already in hand?
Any update possible?

Redcurrant14 Feb 2024 1:06 p.m. PST

The latest news from Eureka is that there are 2 new codes, totalling 19 new figures.

The 'Marie-Louises' and the Garde National.

Personal logo deadhead Supporting Member of TMP14 Feb 2024 2:37 p.m. PST

I have said it and he agrees.

Free French tank crew.

The look is unique and so iconic for Paris August '44 especially.

Incredible is that no one does them in 1/72 (I will concede Millicast but very atypical)

US tank crew rig. But different head gear. Sailors' "bacchis" for TD crews. UK style berets on US tank crew for the 501 RCC Black Berets, the "Calots" (we would call them service caps, bonnet de police, forage caps etc) for most of the rest. Short sleeve shirts on some for the summer of 44 but most with the usual US tanker rig.

The end result would be a very colourful (colorful, US) look. It could be incredibly successful in France, where (and this is amazing) no one does them. All French modellers use US tank crews, with the expected helmet and goggles

Not remotely Napoleonic…but 12th Cuirassiers were at Waterloo and "Is Paris Burning?" over 100 years later! Different lads mind you.

Valmy9215 Feb 2024 8:08 a.m. PST

Redcurrant,
Do you know if they are available on the website yet? I've looked and haven't found them.
Thanks,
Phil

Redcurrant15 Feb 2024 2:02 p.m. PST

They are on the Eureka miniatures (Australia) section, but you wll have to wait for a few weeks before they arrive in UK.

Valmy9215 Feb 2024 3:13 p.m. PST

Thank you, found them.

Redcurrant03 Apr 2024 2:35 a.m. PST

Nic from Eureka will be coming over for Salute.

I assume that he will be having an annual 'what to be produced' discussion with Mr Barton.

What would you like to be produced.

Confederation of the Rhine in single breasted jacket.
Danes and Swedes.
Westphalian Guard.
Italian Chasseurs with braiding on the chest.
Hussars in full dress, shako cords, pointy saddlecloth, all of which can be done for Polish/Saxony/Baden/ etc
Baden infantry and artillary.
Berg infantry and cavalry
Naples, as some of their guard looks superb.
Wurttemburg Generals.
Duchy of Warsaw generals, krakus.
Russian cossacks for the various regiments, Bashkirs, Guard Cossacks.
Portugese Generals and ADC's.
The Lancers de la Mancha.
A few more Prussians (some of which can be done with head swaps) ie 6th Uhlans 1/2 uncovered shako, 1/2 czapska.

And please get the Saxon Prince Clement's Uhlans released, they have been ready for the last 2 years but not been officially released nor appeared in the catalogue.

Is there anything with Eureka in the pipeline for us to salivate over.

In the meantime, anything that you produce will all be greatly appreciated.

Ruchel03 Apr 2024 7:37 a.m. PST

Early Russians remain incomplete: infantry skirmishing (in bicornes, early shakos and mitres), early Russian Generals.

Spanish infantry in 'stovepipe' shako, Spanish light infantry skirmishing, Spanish infantry in shako skirmishing. Spanish artillery in shako, Spanish horse artillery, more Spanish cavalry.

Revolutionary Austrian grenadiers skirmishing, more Revolutionary Austrian cavalry, Hungarian infantry in helmets skirmishing (1805).

Late Saxons: line infantry skirmishing, light infantry marching, horse artillery, Generals.

Early Saxons (1806 and 1809).

All above are basic troops, neither rare units not specific regiments.

Redcurrant25 Apr 2024 2:41 a.m. PST

Any news of how the discussions went – what can we look forward to in the future.

stephen116226 Apr 2024 6:09 p.m. PST

Confederation of Rhine in single breasted jackets – I used the Nassauers for this

Hussars in full dress with pointy saddlecloth – Polish hussars are now available on the website

Berg infantry – Use late war French?

Portuguese Generals – I used British Light Infantry mounted officers. Not exact but close

Early Saxons – See the Eureka line

Late Saxon Generals – Use French, paint the pants red

Redcurrant06 May 2024 2:24 a.m. PST

Stephen1162

Hadn't thought of the Nassauers for this, but maybe problems with Grenadiers.

Hussars – Polish Hussars (newly released) all apear to wear the Pelisse.

Berg infantry – I like mine to have shako accoutrements.

Portuguse Generals – not averse to using other figures.

Early Saxons – agree Eureka do a good job.

Ruchel06 May 2024 11:22 a.m. PST

Regarding Eureka 1806 Saxons, the cavalry figures are not historically accurate. The infantry bayonets are too brittle and fragile. And they are not AB, it is not the same quality and it is not the same style. Here we are talking about AB figures, not about other manufacturers.

And there are no 1809 Saxons.

Late Saxon Generals, I prefer accurate figures, not French ones.

Redcurrant24 Jun 2024 1:32 p.m. PST

The Eureka website has just released the following figures.

Russian 1812-1815
R40 – Pavlov Fusiliers
R41 – Pavlov Fusilier Drummer

Prussian 1813-1815
PR72 Horse Artillary Mounted

Saxony 1810-1814
SAXC13 Saxon light horse lancers

Confederation of the Rhine
CORC08 – Westphalian Lighy Horse Trooper
CORC09 – Westphalian Light Horse Officer
CORC10 – Westphalian Light Horse trumpeter

The added info is that the next release will not be Napoleonics, or WW2, So what will be the next release.

Mark179614 Jul 2024 6:05 a.m. PST

More stuff to cover the War of the First Coalition.

Personal logo deadhead Supporting Member of TMP14 Jul 2024 9:19 a.m. PST

What impresses me is the enthusiasm for this topic. I freely confess that I do not possess one single AB figure (tell a lie I did buy many a Napoleonic 18mm figure, for carriages that all went to Oz as gifts….and they were just incredible quality).

Clearly this is the "go to" range. I must get some WWII figures. 2e DB tank crews…strong hint

Nine pound round18 Jul 2024 7:08 p.m. PST

1790s British, pre-shako and single-breasted coat, with every type of hat imaginable…..late-Egyptian French….
