I've been waiting (and waiting and waiting and WAITING and waiting and waiting) for Victrix to release the promised 1/144 WWII Soviets. Renders of infantry were posted over a year ago, and renders of T-34s appeared a couple months ago.

Does anyone have inside information about this project? Should I expect them this year?

5 days ago, on their Facebook page.

Happy to announce that the Panzer IV F & G are both now available order. Additionally, the Soviet Infantry are right around the corner and should be available in the next 2/3 weeks.

I share your impatience mate! I'm sure they'll be worth waiting for…

Looking forward to these, especially T-34/85s, and Su-85s/Su-100s.

The problem with Victrix is that they flip flop from one era to another without completing anything . The 2nd world war has more holes in it than a tramps vest. The British for example have a Sherman VC firefly but not a Sherman V 75mm . With a bit of thought both models could have been covered in one kit .

Question I asked on their Facebook page last August.

What happened to the Sherman variants, are those coming out soon or did they get sidelined?

Answer.

Yes they are still coming.

No M4A4 though.

If they sold the Desert War tanks, I'd probably own zillions of them. I guess I'm lucky they don't – I have enough holes in my head already.

HMMM

I dont get the lack of the M4A4 when it was the "standard" tank of the British and Canadian Armoured Tank division from Normandy onwards , especially when Victrix already produce the hull in the Firefly kit. They dont seem to be doing the basic M4A2 which is the "Standard" Sherman for the British and Canadian tank brigades. Gone are the days of any Sherman will do and so there must be many collectors of the Desert Rats, as that is the only British Division that is doable using their kits .

Maybe they are gearing more for the US market .

I dont like criticising a very good wargames figures producing company that are local to me as their other ranges are excellent . But I just wonder sometimes if the knowledge of WW2 and the various units that participated is there at Victrix as the range to me appears to be all over the place.

Victrix Soviet infantry are now available for order according to their Facebook page. T34/76 to follow in a couple of weeks.

That's good news!

I guess Victrix is finally going to get an order from me. grin

Soviet T34s: Now available to order! link

You beat me to it. grin

I just got the email about it this morning.

I'm not going to order any for quite a while. I have too many incomplete 1/144 projects to work on already, and the Royal Mail is still suffering massive delays. I only just last week got the Victrix order I placed on Nov 25, so I haven't tried yet to build a single kit. I should wait a few months before I place a second order.

If anybody gets any, I'd love to read a review. I'd especially like to know if it's possible to build both hulls in each kit into a single version (e.g. two T-34/85s).

That photo is why I ask. That's a picture of an early render, not the production version. I'd like to know if the production model is any different.

Including the tank riders is a nice touch

There are POD companies that can help fill in those holes.

See this post on TMP where it is discussed…
