I swear that in the not-too-distant past there was a post about a uniform book and some discussion about the rebellion. Does this ring a bell with anyone. Thanks.

Are you maybe talking about the amazing range which is about to be produced by Piano Wargame?:-)
I own some Wurttemberg light infantry and I love them.

This book would be a fantastic resource, unfortunately I don't remember to have read anything about it.

No, I am asking about a Tyrolean uniform reference book that was discussed on TMP.

ah ok yes of course. I thought your interest was driven by this incoming range.

There is a very good book on the actual rebellion – Loyal Rebels: Andreas Hofer and the Tyrolean Uprising of 1809, by Gunther Eyck. I managed to obtain a copy some time ago via a library loan. However, as I say, it was some time ago and, enjoyable and interesting read as it was, I don't recall it offering that much detail on uniforms. But great for background material.

Unfortunately, I haven't read it yet. Although I am very fond of such topics. Now I have found articles about death penalty, I use https://edubirdie.com/examples/death-penalty for that. I have always liked history, historical wars, battles. Especially after the book, I love watching the film adaptation. You can immediately see where they embellished and where it's the other way around.
