Hi there,

For 25mm figures, where to find Swedish guns for Bernadotte's army smaller than those sold by Elite Miniatures?

Travellera01 Jun 2022 2:51 a.m. PST

Maybe these?

Thank you, but do you know the diameter of the wheels of this gun and the length of its tube with the Breech button?

Travellera01 Jun 2022 6:43 a.m. PST

Unfortunately not, which figure make are planning to use these with?

OK, then I understand your question. I think the Perry might be on the bigger side of things.

The Swedish army used 3lb guns as battalion guns and mostly 6 lb guns and 8lb mortars in the artillery companies. If you look at this thread

you can see 18th century Swedish 3 lb guns that are quite similar, or not identical, as the Minifigs French 4lb Horse gun:

Thank you, but nowadays, which manufacturers have guns compatible with 25mm minfigs? Thank you again..

I think today the 28mm scale is predominant which unfortunately makes the guns a bit big compared to Minifigs

Hinchliffe would be the closest, as they are contemporary 1970s designs.

I used to play games with Hinchliffe guns and limbers next to Minifigs guns and limbers. There was no difference in size. The detail was a bit better on the Hinchliffe and the limbers came with all the ropes, cords, etc.

It's not hinchliffe the smallest , the closest to minifigs…

Wargames foundry and essex wargames are small, I'll check it soon…
