Not sure where to put this, we are looking for a computer based Napoleonic game, I know it exists but it's name is eluding me. It is turn based, and can be network, steam, or email for play. Does this ring a bell for anyone? |

Carnage and glory for miniatures and Victory and glory for Naps. |

Carnage and Glory is a computer run game, not a game that is played on a computer. The game master enters all the data for each unit and as combat occurs tells the players what happened to their unit and to their opponents. Our group played in a number of them annually until the pandemic. It takes a lot of work by the gamemaster to get it organized. In my opinion, it tends to play slow as each engagement must be adjudicated by the computer before moving to the next. I have no idea if it could be streamed or networked. I think trying to play by e-mail would be excruciatingly slow. Jim |

John Tillers games might fit the bill. Since he has passed, WDS bought his game catalog. wargameds.com |

There were also the Talonsoft games ("Battleground 3: Waterloo", "BG 6: Napoleon in Russia", "BG 8: Prelude to Waterloo", etc.). I think that at least some of the titles are now abandonware and available for free download. |

Paradox has March of the Eagles, a semi-sandbox game that has several mods that start with the French Revolutionary period. |

I would take Talonsoft games to the deserted island…all three Napoleonic titles were excellent…..earned my baton on those. |

I've never been so excited or disappointed over a PC game as I wa about Scourge of War Waterloo. I've never had an satisfying experience. But if you enjoy units never obeying orders, or watching columns perform bizzare caterpillar loops, this is the game for you! To second though, the Talon Soft / John Tiller games are superb. |
