In July, I painted up 16 humans and a big ol' bear. To offset this, I bought zip, zilch, zero. This was not for lack of trying. Right now, I have three outstanding orders, the first placed around June 27. My understanding is that all three orders are now in transit, all will arrive in the next two weeks, and my count for August will be just dreadful, especially since I plan to be out of the house quite a bit, and not getting much painted. So, my total of painted figures for the year is now up to 134 and I've only bought 95. Between several years of painting more than I purchase and selling off significant numbers of figures, I am starting to think that perhaps I could count the individual figures in my lead pile without getting so depressed that I spend the rest of the day lying on the floor and staring at the ceiling. In July I painted 2 figures and 2 bridges and I got in the mail Bones V with 2 pirate ships and a tone of stuff. I also got 2 boxes of stuff from miniature market…I am doomed |

79thPA, I find I've been doing something along that line. Painting the new stuff I get, and ignoring the things I've had sitting around for years. This results in it becoming obvious, even to me, that I will never get to some of these things in my lifetime, so I sell them off and buy something new with the money. Grelber |

79thPA, Grelber, I think that priming and painting the newest figures is a great way to keep motivated and get them done. I did this with my Vietnam project and so far most everything I bought prior to this July is done. (the PBR needs assembly) Of the 140 ACW figures bought in January all are primed and 80 have been painted. I got tired of painting blue and grey so moved to another project but still I'm well into the ACW. |

Decent June but lousy July. Bought 0 Painted 12 Saxon Archers. The good thing is all of the archers for my army are done. Now on to the spearmen. Prior YTD 199 + 12= 211 YTD. |
