Had to sort some recent purchases.
That involved trimming, reshaping, removing sprues etc.
And alloting the horde to the correct lead-pile project or storage.

Created a new general figure last nite. Customised using metallic putty he's got new epaulettes, aiguillettes, a better contoured chapeau and plumage, and some 'filler' in pitting.

While I had some putty on the go- added a few satchels to infantry; restored a full head to a chapeau trimmed officer; added sergeants epaulettes to a grenadier figure (Porte-Aigle). Today before the 'Sunday baking' session began, they were oven cured to hardness.

Recently been researching more online as some data tripped into view. Now I have enough info to assign specific figures to named officers of the 'staff'.

**A while back I repaired a base, so I had to reputty the thing after removing a figure- so these chaps will need a new covering soon…

Week ahead has more undercoating; a few tweaks and tidying of other officers horses (a replacement order also needs to be compiled slowly). Some photographs, yes probably.
cheers

Nice! I have a lot of repair work ahead of me someday, as well.

Yes war is hell on the figures, even when trayed storage boxes are used to transport them.
I better finish the officers 'star' before i do the base too!
This will be a 'new' regiment not in my original plans, although this command was going to be the 28th Regiment.
The balance of fusiliers were used in another regiment, so in true French form one regiment proposed, became parts of two!

I'm not too sure on the drummers inverted chevrons for early Empire; I have a feeling that N. spotted the Russians with them and 'designed' them into his own form later on.

Just an update as I had to photograph anyway…

>>Created a new general figure last nite.

As the old 'ready board' double sided cellotape had muchly expired and needed replacement, figured I'd show what was going back on it.

SO the two 'secrete' genereaux being worked on among others being piloted forwards; and an enemy Austrian GM Jurczik in the background mostly sceniced up as more of his units will roll off the assembly line over the coming months.

New week, more of the same:-

1. Questioned my sanity.
2. Questioned the sanity of others.
3. Mass of down time.
4. Undercoated some 'prototyping' figures for later projects.
4b. Worked on 'prototyping' to refurb some painted units to modern standard without destroying the base paint work.
5. Fine detailled some officers with gold embroidery etc.
6. Part mounted two command vignettes.
7. Ate another too-hot-for-me-curry woth copious quantity of natural yoghurt to calm down…

Prety exciting week really…
