Here you can find the lace patterns for the British infanty in 1812. Hope you find it useful. regimientosdeamerica.com/uniformes/napoleonics/britain-lace

I'll be sure to consult this when I'm painting my 15MM Brits!

Well 1st-10th of Foot so far. Quite a way to go.

Good idea. Franklin of course shows this, in detail, in his well known book

We though it was a good idea to put the paterns and shapes together to have a more visual guide.
That was something that we missed a lot when painting them.
There is a long way to bo to cover them all but we will do it.
Cheers

Thanks deadhead.
We are thinking also in adding the buttons. We'll see.

We are thinking in adding the buttons too, but it is too much sewing to do!!

Now that looks even better. Obviously significantly increases the task for you, but the end result is great. Needle and Fred

That's a really neat idea. You might want to check one or two of dibble's posts to these boards as he has found the odd error in C H-S…

Thank you 4th Cuirassier. We will search those posts.

Here's the link to my updated and revised post. Please study all the pictures for the evidence pertaining the DeBosset/Hamilton-Smith inaccuracies. I used all contemporary evidence when coming to my conclusions.

If you do include buttons, this book is a must

But it isn't exhaustive and many pictures of the actual, contemporary buttons can be found on the internet.

Though This book has inaccuracies, at least it has a good bash at illustrating the buttons.

And just to let you all know, I will be posting the Volunteer Regiments as well as the London Regiments along with attached descriptions, in the next few weeks. I have been snowed under with matters outside my hobby since Christmas so couldn't post them back in January when I wanted to. I may even get around to posting pictures of extant colours that belonged to some of them too…:)

Thank you very much dibble for the information. I will revies it and update it.
