Three quarters of the year done. Certainly not the year we expected back in January. Painting motivation eluded me for another month but little bits did get done. As planned earlier in the year I ordered the PBR from the Empress Vietnam range and a few other packs.

The big addition to the lead pile came from a gift of 70 Warfare League of Augsburg figures. Very nice figures that I'm enthusiastic about getting done and using for Ki ng William's/Queen Anne's War.

Not a bad month, just finishing off the last little units of Napoleonics. If I can keep it up I will have finished all my units of Napoleonics and then onto the 1/1200 ships.

Three orders came this month, one rather unexpected, my total bought for September was 28 humans, 9 horses, and 6 camels.

To set against that, I painted 20 humans and 5 horses, so at that point, a net loss for the month.

However, after much internal discussion, I brought myself to sell of all my unpainted Spanish Civil War figures. This totaled 600 figures, 26 horses, 5 artillery pieces, and 6 tanks. So, a major net improvement in my lead mountain situation, plus I have a bunch of money to buy other new things. Maybe I can bring myself to sell off other unpainted armies, like my FoW figures or my Cavalry and Indians!

For the year:
Bought: 139 humans, 19 horses
Painted: 139 humans, 6 horses
So, pretty much neck and neck at this point
Unless you include the figures I sold . . .

I blew past my goal of 350 28mm sized figures last month, but I would call this month progress 125 28mm figures worth of painting bringing me up to 491 28mm figures worth of progress.

I've been selling off quite a few old games and books though which has skyrocketed my purchases in the past two months. A friend wants to get into AK47 Republic, which prompted a huge order to Old Glory (at least it's just 15mm). I want to start playing Rangers of Shadowdeep with my family since we can't go out and play D&D so that was an order to Miniature Market for six boxes of plastic figures and another once those Wargames Atlantic spiders hit the US. It's a good thing I'm not counting bought vs painted this year.

Another low month but things are looking up. All of the major household projects for the year are done. So there should be more time to paint.
