Last months post TMP link August sees another unproductive month for me. No miniatures but I did make some walls for a table to represent Hue City. In balance I haven't bought anything though not for trying. Empress has a PBR with crew out for their Vietnam range but I didn't pull the trigger quick enough to get one. I think September will see a big influx of unpainted lead. Bought = 0 Painted = 0 YTD Bought = 136 YTD Painted = 206 Yearly profit = +70 |

For me, August was actually a pretty good month. I painted up 22 World War II Greek soldiers, along with an A/T gun and two tanks. The Greeks were all uniformed, which made them go more quickly. In addition, I painted five fantasy and pulp figures and a Fatigue marker for Saga. So, a total of 27 figures, two tanks and the A/T gun completed. To offset that, I bought three figures (hey, it was my birthday!). Like FusilierDan, I have some figures on order, which I really thought would come by the last week of August. They still haven't made it. There are also a couple new orders that should come in September. I was looking at the Marketplace, where somebody was selling off a bunch of complete unpainted armies for a deceased friend. Over the years, I've bought roughly 18,000 figures, but only painted about 11,000. Some of these I just seem to have lost interest in, as demonstrated by the fact that the figures are still in the packages 15 or 20 years after I forked over the money for them. I'm considering selling some, and using the money to send others off to Sri Lanka to be painted. Even so, I still don't see an end point where all the figures are painted--not even close. Grelber |

Good month for me! I painted the following: 4 28mm demon Nazis 3 25mm GZG security guards A 2 man 28mm German MG42 team 40 6mm infantry 10 25mm GZG ESU 16 15mm GZG Colonial Defense Force figures 6 15mm Rebel Minis HomeGuard troops 4 6mm Old Crow terrain pieces 44 15mm GZG New Israeli troops I'm going to count this as 56 figures for the sake of my 2020 goal of 350 figures. Added to the 310 running total from last month brings me up to 366 figures. Working from home has drastically increased my output this year. It's also increased my buying since my expenses have gone down drastically as I hide in my basement working. I think I'm painting faster than I'm buying but I'm too afraid to do the math. |
