Thursday, 21 May, 1:00 PM EDT
Traveller with the Brits! With a double header!
We're going to have two games, minimum.
We're going to try another run of The Lion Sweeps Tonight with tweaked damage rules for the Angkor Wat and an extra Aslan DDL in the mix, and Ken Burnside is running another Traveller teaching game for players in the UK, Spain and possibly Germany (due to the language difficulties, we're expecting the teaching game to run long)
If we get more people willing to playtest The Lion Sweeps Tonight, we'll turn it into two sessions run at the same time.
Thursday, 21 May, 7:30 PM EDT
This will be a smaller RocketPunk test, to get feedback to William Minsinger about the ship designs in advance of him writing a scenario run for Friday the 29th (next week).
RocketPunk is Mode 2 movement, with lumbering hulks of ships powered by Orion Drives in an alternate timeline where preventing the Russians from getting a foothold on Mars is a strategic goal of the Reagan Administraion in the early 1980s.
Friday, 22 May, 5:30 PM EDT
JD and Tau will resume their playthrough of Typhoon; if Phil is available, we may also poke the resolution of the second run of Nutcracker with a stick, and end it as a walk-through with some variations on when the League Reinforcements need to arrive; so far, it looks like they're going to arrive too late, which can be a viable outcome -- but should be lower odds probabilities.
If there's sufficient interest (two or three people say 'yes'), I'll pull out another Exile's Stars scenario to run in parallel.
On Friday the 29th, William Minsinger will be running a RocketPunk scenario.
Sunday, 24 May, 12:00 PM EDT
This slot is an overflow game that can accommodate Mike Zebrowski. Current plans for it are TinyFleets in the early slot (rather than the late one) or an Axanar scenario. If you have a preference, email Ken Watanabe at watank@gmail.com -- especially if you'd like the early TinyFleets game, which takes more prep work.
Sunday, 24 May, 6:00 PM EDT
This is the late overflow slot, and is tentatively scheduled as the Romance of the Seven Realms teaching scenario, or an R7R game using some of the other fighters in the setting beyond the Excalibur and Cockatrice. If you want in on this game, please email Ken Watanabe at watank@gmail.com.
Ken Watanabe would be interested in coordinating some Traveller games on a future Sunday slot.
Other Squadron Strike games that may be happening online this weekend:
Mike Zebrowski is still getting his gaming group meeting online with moderate success; he runs on Tuesday nights.
Brian Trotter is running the Romance of the Seven Realms teaching game at Convention of Champions as a pickup game. He might have a slot on Monday the 25th of May. Email him at btrotter101@gmail.com if you'd like to play in one of his convention games.
