A quarter of the way in. Last month TMP link

I've managed to keep from buying too much extra. My friend who had been going to Cold Wars opted out which kept me from ordering anything, a plus as far as I see it. I cheated a bit by leaving a package from Age of Glory on the step until today letting those figures go to Aprils count. So here we are.

Let's get some pix!

Experimented with Contrast Paints using my pile of plastic zombie survivors. Even limited to short painting sessions you can work fast with these. Some colors I like but others I don't. Seems about as fast as the dip without everything getting that dark tone. Depending on you color choices though the DIP is a better cheap and "fast" painting style.

No figures bought, or at least received in March. Expecting some in April or perhaps in May, due to COVID 19 driven delays, though.
On to the good bit: I painted 20 humans and a horse this month

A good month thanks to no commuting for a lot of March, for obvious reasons. Still working from home protecting the UK economy. I am making a lot of use of Army Painter brush on shades etcetea.

Lots progressed.

The Covid virus has me stuck at home with no work on so I really ought to do a full inventory of what's left in the lead and plastic pile besides lots of AB Napoleonic limbers and teams.

It's amazing what can be accomplished when you feel good and can't leave your house. After finishing a couple painting orders, I got to paint for myself. Unfortunately I found a few deals on ebay to counter lowering the pile.

I had some painting ADD in March.

I finished off 8 Dreamforge Games Eisenkern figures, or "Space Germans" that were 1/3 done after realizing the pants were the wrong color and having to fix a dozen others (I had already counted those before so I'm not double dipping).

I got tired of only having a couple of half finished cattle for our viking raids so I completed 18 various farm animals, some of which were in various stages of construction and some needed to be built and painted.

I built and painted 3 Old Crow vehicles which I was hoping to use in my 25mm fores, but they're HUGE compared to the GZG stuff. Thankfully they're the perfect size for my Eisenkern.

I picked up a couple of batches of SJ Games OGRE Combine metal minis as an OpFor for the plastics from the kickstarter and finished 33 of them. Pics on my blog
Dipping into 6mm SciFi

I also had a couple of 'fighter scale' starships that were almost completed and boxed up in anticipation of a move that didn't happen. So I broke them out and painted up 6 ships.

Some arbitrary math is going to turn that into 43 28mm sized figures for the purpose of my goals for 2020.

I had 59 completed as of Februrary, so March's progress almost doubles my running total to 102 out of the 350 that I want to finish in 2020.

We're two days into April and already I have gaming ADD with three completely different projects on the work desk, Blood and Plunder pirates, the remainder of my Eisenkern platoon and the pirate OpFor for the spaceships I just painted. We'll see if April is as good and March was.

I blogged a bit about my weekly progress:
