You are going to upset a fair few TMP members if you criticise China. They will order you to issue an apology. |

What better time to progress your expansionist agenda when your opponents are busy trying to stop a pandemic. And to add a pandemic that started in your country, affected only a small percentage of your population, was quickly contained and then spread quickly around the world.
Not saying the Chinese invented COVID-19, just that they will probably be the beneficiaries of it all once the dust has settled. |

To start, we need to start referring to the 'South China Sea' as the 'South Asian Sea.' |

When Corvid-19 is all set and done, the world should send a bill to China (with interest). |

I prefer the East Vietnamese Sea to the SCS. This is very unsurprising. They do this every time countries around the world get distracted, AND hope we'll forget that Xi and other Chinese spokespeople promised to not "weaponize" the islands. I find it interesting that they're willing to literally destroy many reef systems in order to "study" them. That transparent veil of obfuscation really isn't cutting it with me. |

Couching territorial expansion as peaceful civilian endeavor is nothing new in the history of mankind. If these man-made island outposts were to be attacked, it would engender fodder for international outrage from the loss of "innocent" civilian life and provide causus belli for retaliatory action. In effect, the oceanographic and marine scientists and biologists are little more than soft human meat shields. |
