Does anyone know what happened to the old Qualiticast 20mm Nam range? Who has the masters? Who has the moulds? Its such a shame it disappeared as it was well sculpted and a pretty concise range from what I remember. I had hoped someone would have brought this range back from the dead by now.

Found this old TMP discussion from 2005, but hoped someone had more updated info.

Looks like I asked this same question ages ago. I'll blame it on age. ;) Sorry Bill.

Bravo 6, I had been wondering the same for years and have given up. However, now that Elheim has expanded its Vietnam line, I think I can live without the Quality Cast line.

Elheim still needs US platoon HQ figures, but they are as good a quality in my opinion. Also their US have no rucksack or flak just like the Quality Cast. Thus they are great for aero rifle platoons of 1/9th.

This is just my opinion, but the Elhiem sculpts are quite similar in style to FAA/Qualiticast. This is particularly true of the faces.

I have both and they mix very nicely.

Good call on Elheim gents. They do indeed remind me of Qualiticast figures. Their VC/NVA range need some AAMGs and crews and more updated pilots, but aside from that the range looks good.

Bravo Six, you can also quite easily commission Elhiem to produce the sets you need.

That's interesting Maha. Not too many figure manufacturers are that accommodating. :) Good to know. I've ordered a pack of VC and the US HQ pack to see the quality up close.

I would take them back if offered

Hey Bravo 6, UnderFire miniatures now carries the 20mm figures we had commissioned back on the old FoF forum. I think you can have them make new commission figures as well.

Thanks Darby! I'll have a look.

I did finally get my Elheim samples and I have to agree with whats been said here that they are close in look and quality to Qualiticast miniatures.
