Sorry if this is covering old ground but I've searched the archive and can't find an answer. Are Qualiticast still trading or have they gone under? I emailed them for an updated list of figures and a release schedule ages ago but heard nothing back.

I particularly like their Vietnam figures both their own and the old FAA range. If they did go under did anyone pick up their moulds?

Quality Casting is now owned by Old Glory. OG is releasing their figs under the "Command Desition" line.

werwulf,

Qualiticast-makes 20mm historical miniatures.

Quality Castings, Inc.- made 15mm miniatures and was purchased 2002 by 19th Century Miniatures aka Battle Honours U.S.A. who also sells Old Glory 15 among other lines.

Quality cast and command decision are two seperate lines from two different companies.

As BadMoon mentioned Quality Cast are being produced by 19th century miniatures. Command Decision are made by Old Glory miniatures.

Which may be confusing, but it isn't anymore confusing than a BadMoon correcting a werwulf.

So is that a yes, Qualiticast (purveyors of fine 20mm vietnam figures)have gone under and someone else has the moulds, or a no, they are still trading?

I've lost the plot and I started the thread!!!

Gone under? Perhaps not. Last I heard, they were simply taking a hiatus. That's been... three years now?

My interest was in their 25mm Medievals. Excellent stuff, and the remaining US stock at Brookhurst has been well reduced.

Baxter at FAA has some Vietnam items from Qualitcast. Drop him an email or give him a call.

I heard the owner was very busy with his real job and no longer had time to do the shows etc.

yes quality cast are having a time out - no one knows for how long

Qualiticast decided to take a break a year ago. We still have lots of figures left in stock. Of course there are some items we are sold out on.

There - that's as official as it comes, seeing as Larry was one of the main places (sorry if there are others I'm unaware of) that carried Qualiticast figures. Which again is NOT Quality Castings, which is now owned by Old Glory 15s/19th Century. Sheesh. Could it BE any more confusing?

Bad Moon, honest mistake. Thanks for the correction

I hope they "come back soon". I was trying to find their Vietnam Villagers packs listed on the Brookhurst site for a friend, but didn't see it. I assume that it's either no longer available or it was a limited release.

Qualiticast Vietnam is probably the best 20mm range I've ever seen.

Forgot to ask.. does anyone ELSE in the US stock Qualiticast Vietnam? The $9.00 USD shipping to Canada is fine if my buddy is ordering tanks and riverine with his figures, but for a few packs to sample, it's a little steep.

raducci16 Oct 2011 2:08 p.m. PST

I beleve the moulds for all their ranges are being bought and they will soon be back into production.

eptingmike25 Oct 2011 3:19 p.m. PST

Ooh that would be cool. I love their Napoleonics and would like to check out their Vietnam range. Fingers crossed I s'pose.

hammer6001 Nov 2011 7:13 p.m. PST

Is there any news who has bought the moulds and when will they be back in production?

TunnelRat03 Nov 2011 8:32 a.m. PST

Ooh, ooh, tell me more. I would love to get my hands on some Qualiticast vietnam figures!

coldm223104 Nov 2011 1:55 p.m. PST

Last i heard was that the owner had no intentions of selling the moulds or re producing the ranges, would make my day if this isn't the case but I won't get my hopes up

hammer6021 Nov 2011 4:17 a.m. PST

Has any one got any more info on this, are the moulds been sold or not, also where has this info came from

There was a mention on a FB group that some of the Qualiticast range was going back into production…..I'll see if I can find it again!

Gaz004505 Aug 2018 2:30 a.m. PST
