What colour were Napoleonic Spanish Artillery carriages?

It depends. Either olive drab (like the French) for the old Gribeauval guns, or gray for the newer , British supplied guns.

I've seen books list "royal blue" for Spanish Gribeauval--same as pre-Revolutionary French.

There was earlier discussion of this; the paint for the earlier army was listed as Cobalt Blue, but it seems in practice this pigment when used on carriages was more of a blue grey than a vivid blue. Later carriages may also have been unpainted.

Is there no chance some were red? I vaguely remember something about garrison artillery in red…

It's good to be right occasionally thank you Prince of Essling. Also means I don't have to repaint my Spanish guns.
