From Napoleon Series Forum MESSAGE: (#190510) Sale-Rousselot: NAPOLEON'S ARMY <http://www.napoleon-series.org/cgi-bin/forum/webbbs_config.pl?rev=190510> AUTHOR: Tom Holmberg DATE: 8/28/2019, 9:28 am NAPOLEON'S ARMY 1790-1815 Lucien Rousselot Format: Hardbound Pages: 391 Publisher: Andrea Press Size: 12x8½ inches ISBN: 9788496658257 Published at $129 USD, on sale for $29.95 USD Rousselot is one of the world's most important military artists and he played a foremost role in establishing uniformology as a true science. His immense talent was equaled only by his innate modesty and intense dedication to his work that was developed in the most difficult times, until it crystallized in the marvelous watercolors and exacting narrative presented in this volume. link |

I got a copy some years ago. Definitely worth adding to the library. |

Really grateful to Prince of Essling. I recalled this book costing well over a hundred quid, but his posting made me check UK prices. OK it is today ordered from Amazon and costing me £50.00 GBP, which in a few months will be one dollar US, so I think I am getting a real bargain (if only it worked like that) |

This is a valuable book to have, but getting the plates might be more valuable. |

It might also prove far more expensive alas! But I am sure you are right. Will the changed rules prevent something like this being posted on this Media Board? TMP link |

I posted all of the plates together with the script-guides that come with them on the Armchair General site. It all starts at post #3211 (Stickie best Uniform page 161) Napoleonic Era Sub-Forum and ends at Post #3285 showing the Rousselot 'Soldats D'Autrefois' as a little bonus. Start link: link Finish link: link Paul :) Out of interest, can someone tell me how many pictures I can put up, per post? Cheers |

Mine has just arrived. The illustrations are not quite the quality of the originals obviously, even when the latter only appear on line. But they are impressive and now I have the ext to go with the images. I am delighted with it, now next to my Rousellot "Napoleon's Elite Cavalry". thanks again |
