How often do you play miniature wargames with your offspring?

Working on it….. Roman is 3 months old. His sister Blair gets the teddy bears to place into formation next year.

I've gamed with my daughters, trying to get grand daughter interested. My son in law is my regular opponent.

My grandson, soon to be 10, loves to wargame.

My granddaughter is 12. I have never been able to generate any interest in my hobbies. My grandson is 9 and into videogames. Both will play some boardgames but not wargames. I think the problem is my inability to present wargames, board or miniature properly.

Any year now …

I game with my kids quite a bit- probably my most common opponents. My oldest son started at age 7 at Little Wars and is now 21. My youngest started playing some minis and my daughter played a huge Uncle Duke game back when she was 12 (she's now 24).

None have grandkids yet, though the daughter just got engaged, so I can start planning to corrupt any kids she might have.

My grandson in law runs a RPG meeting once a month which me and my granddaughter attend and I have occasional games with their kids.

I do when I can. But the oldest now brings his Xbox with him when he comes over.

Which he won't have to do anymore since I got one for Christmas grin

World of Tanks is taking up my painting time now.

We did have a GREAT 'Paint and Play' 5 years ago…..

Whenever they visit – the youngest loves to play Panzer Kids with 15mm tanks (hint – never let them use the Tiger!)

My granddaughter is 4-1/2 and likes to watch me paint. I haven't tried to start her on gaming yet. She's more interested in dancing right now (my daughter is a dance instructor at local community college).

I have been both painting and playing with my seven year old grandson. We are painting War of the Roses knights (mostly plate armored).

As to gaming we are doing very simple games -- roll to hit and then a saving throw using FIW and WWII. He really likes setting up terrain and making "scenarios." I think when he turns eight we might try What a Tanker from TFL.
