and as Lancashire games is now selling Venixia I'm guessing that its been sold (at least partially)

They did get sold, not sure where all the lines ended up.

1. Former Vendel Dark Ages dwarves ended up with the original sculptor at Conqueror Models: link

2. The former Goblin Factory mounted gobbos ended up with Slave 2 Gaming: link

Looks like the Dark Ages stuff went nowhere.

The Conqueror Models Dwarfs are original sculpts done by the same designer that did the Vendel range. They are not the same sculpts as the Vendel range.

Cool, they are fantastic sculpts, I have bought some -- still on the workbench, but really nice figures.

Thistle & Rose re-booters acquired the Venexia and Feudal Castings ranges from SMM. Apparently the new owners like some of the Thistle Rose Dark Age lines more than the equivalent Feudal Castings lines, but are planning on putting the rest into production.

Looking for the WW2 20mm winter line?

jeeves15 Dec 2018 11:57 a.m. PST

Does Thistle & Rose actually sell miniatures though? They don't seem to have a website. I used to harass them on Facebook about releasing stuff and they just kept telling me it would be soon.

As noted it is a bit of a slog for them to get the enterprise going, but they are progressing.

All,

The 20mm WWII ranges formerly produced by Sgt Majors Miniatures, including what were originally the Battlescape Australians and the Sojers US and German ranges, have been sold. They are now owned and being re-released by Early War Miniatures in the U.K.

The 28mm Sci-fi/ Pulp/ Monster range, 15mm ACW, and 20mm Vietnam/US-Afghan Moderns remain available although discussions with separate parties are in various stages concerning each of these product lines.

Seems the Thistle & Rose emphasis is on getting the 15mm lines going, although I'm interested in learning what the time table might be for the the Vendel 28mm Border Reivers and Ancients?

MinBiz03 May 2019 1:59 p.m. PST

All, as you may have heard, Lancashire have purchased the rights to and are re-releasing the Sgt. Majors Miniatures (SGM) 20mm Vietnam-Moderns ranges.

Of all the ranges that were SGM, the only ones still available for purchase are the 28mm Pulp/Sci-fi/ Monsters range and the 15mm ACW range (that was formerly Feudal Castings).

Inquiries concerning the 28mm Pulp/ Sci-fi/ Monsters range and the 15mm ACW range should be sent to MinBiz1@aol.com.
