So, looks like I'm starting SP2 in Russia and wanted to know what figures folks would recommend for each side if they were starting from scratch. Since the number of figures is manageable, I don't have a strong preference for metal vs plastic. For the French, I'm also going back and forth on the early vs late uniforms. I've read the starting Napoleonic French for SP2 for under 50 gbp article and found it a helpful starting point, but wondered what others would recommend, especially if there wasn't a specific price cap. Thanks! Ed |

The 1812-15 uniforms weren't issued in time for this campaign. I'm doing Old Glory *** link *** in great coats and the Perry Russian Retreat range – though these are for the later stage of the campaign. What I've completed so far is here if you're interested: link |

Nicely done! I hadn't really considered the OG figs, but The 1809 uniform would allow their use in Spain as well if I chose to expand that way… |

The Foundry Russians, sculpted by the Perrys, are superb. Greystreak has created masterpieces using them. TMP link |

The combo of Perry & Foundry would seem to cover the Russians for this period well. Those are beautiful figs and great Painting! |

I've mixed Foundry and Front Rank for my light infantry carabinier. They were almost impossible to tell apart, so a great additional source if you go for Foundry. |

Another vote for Old Glory – excellent quality and poses, and fun to paint!! Lots of options. |
