Let's try it again.
I like George Harrison. Can't stand John Lennon.

Old Contemptibles13 Sep 2018 7:20 a.m. PST

Paul McCartney

cavcrazy13 Sep 2018 7:25 a.m. PST

All of them, together and individually

Old Contemptibles13 Sep 2018 7:27 a.m. PST

Well if I had to pick one it would be Sir Paul. But I like all four. We will never see the likes of them again. They are all fab.

I like one sone from Solo Lennon, I like one song of solo Star, I don't like any songs from Solo/wings McCartney.

But I like a full 2 songs from solo Harrison, so I guess the answer is Harrison.

Strange how as a group they made such great records, yet after they split their individual efforts were absolutely abysmal…

Ringo of course !

Still going with VW. I'm the right age for British Invasion, and I still listen to some--but not Beatles, then or now. And looked at as people, they vary from the uninteresting to the intolerable. (Many creative people do. Writing great music isn't a moral virtue.)

Cyrus the Great13 Sep 2018 9:03 a.m. PST

The greatest writing duo Paul and John.

StoneMtnMinis13 Sep 2018 9:38 a.m. PST

Appears someone whined about the really funny respones as they have all gone into a black hole.

Dave

@StoneMtnMinis
Adjust your tinfoil hat. I started a new thread precisely because I screwed up on the spelling in the title.
They're all there. No whining was involved. grin

Thanks winston, in fact you can have your tinfoil hat back now. It was a little small for me anyway. grin

Corporal Fagen13 Sep 2018 10:04 a.m. PST

In this order – John, George, Ringo, Paul. Paul is the biggest square

mad monkey 113 Sep 2018 10:15 a.m. PST

Ringo.

Thresher0113 Sep 2018 10:35 a.m. PST

None of them.

Chuckaroobob13 Sep 2018 10:38 a.m. PST

Ringo.

KSmyth13 Sep 2018 10:49 a.m. PST

While everybody's musical preferences are their own, I like them all together AND individually. Each has had great moments on their own.

Keep the tinfoil hat handy. Yesterday there were two threads on "wargaming is silly." One disappeared, taking my best response with it.

Probably just sloppy housekeeping, of which I do enough myself.

Cerdic13 Sep 2018 11:40 a.m. PST

Well Mr Winston, the Travelling Wilburys may have included the odd bod who was not in the Beatles…

Personal logo Herkybird Supporting Member of TMP13 Sep 2018 11:46 a.m. PST

Paul, with George a close and slightly esoteric second!

Winston Smith13 Sep 2018 12:21 p.m. PST

Everyone associated with the Wilburys acknowledged that he was the head guy, the lead.

And to cement my rating of George….

John, George. Ringo, Paul.

George had the best solo album of any of them.

I think that's over stating it a bit.

All things must pass is a superb album.

Ringo had some good singles early on.

Lennon – Wall & Bridges, Mind Games. And Plastic Ono band stuff.

I have no solo McCartney.

brave face13 Sep 2018 2:10 p.m. PST

I like them collectively and individually to varying degrees.

John is my choice if I have to make one.

George, but only by a very slight degree. His independent projects exceeded those of John and Paul…the less said about Ringo's other projects the better.

Personal logo javelin98 Supporting Member of TMP13 Sep 2018 9:10 p.m. PST

I hate them all. I've never understood why; I just always have.

Old Contemptibles14 Sep 2018 12:03 a.m. PST

This is defiantly the wrong crowd for this poll.

Zyphyr14 Sep 2018 4:34 a.m. PST

George by a slim margin.

The Tin Dictator14 Sep 2018 8:16 a.m. PST

Peter Best

Timmo uk14 Sep 2018 12:22 p.m. PST

I like their music as a band until about 66 and a few songs after that.
