Some of these could work for exotic Fantasy/Off-world flooring and even for reptilian or insectoid Alien walls:
Many MORE designs here: 4clay.com/stockgroup8.htm Plus you can submit to them YOUR OWN unique designs too! QUESTIONS: 1) Anyone tried these wooden ones yet? 2) Which materials (foam, DAS clay, epoxy putties, etc) produced the best texture with those rollers? 3) Got any pictures of your finished pieces? Thanks Dan |

I wonder if you could get hexes made, and roll them out on thin clay to make tetrain pieces. |

@Xintao Yep. I have most of those from Green Stuff World (in Spain). These wooden ones, however, might include patterns that aren't offered at GSW or other wargame suppliers, but which might be useful to those looking for additional and more exotic styles. @Bobgnar Check out these videos about using rollers to emboss textures onto clay and foam for terrain use: YouTube link YouTube link YouTube link Dan |

Dan, Good find. It looks like the pine tree bark would work for cobble stones or dungeon flooring and the mud cracks would work for Mars terrain. What do you think? Dave |

Dave Indeed! And I can definitely see the Pine Bark making some awesome cracked earth effects too.
And I see even more pattern options in the 4" rolls than I did in the 6" ones: 4clay.com/stockHR4.htm But what I like most, and that no one else I know of has offered, is the option to have YOUR OWN DESIGN made into an embossing roller: link Dan |

Reminds me a bit, though MUCH larger, of some stuff I tried with cylindrical beads. Doug |
