Has anyone tried gaming out the setting of the new Planet of the Apes movies? It seems like a fun setting.

I was imagining a campaign with a grand scope starting at the time of the first ape rising in the laboratory, followed by battles growing in size against new, different enemies.

I've posted a few speculations on my blog: link

A little high tech but how about some space Gorillas?

I probably can't use them, but they certainly look cool. I'd love to get a few of them some day. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

I would think that miniatures would be your big bottleneck. At least finding good ones anyway. There just aren't many miniatures out there with civvies armed with western weapons. Khurasan has some stuff, but the pickings are slim. I guess if you wanted a Redneck Rampage style game then these would do.

Some of these are usable but others are just plain silly.

These are nice but pretty useless for the US. You're way more likely to find AR15s than AKs.

Good luck finding monkey boys. You're probably stuck doing conversions for them.

Because my Space Gorillas are CAD rendered I can do them in 15mm. They are not limited to a particular scale.

@Bashytubits, you wouldn't happen to have the file available, would you?

Yeah, I might just end up using post-apocalyptic survivor figures. And a lot of conventional military against the apes, of course.
