Given there were very few numbers for the poll, it is hard to say how accurate it would be.

I think it really depends upon the game the scaled miniatures are for.

hard for me to get into a new scale. too much invested in what i have now.

10??? In many ways 15mm SF hasn't even been fully explored yet, specially the Pulp SF aspect of it.

I got out of 15mm but they are making a lot of great stuff for that scale now. I am into 10mm and there is a limited number of manufacturers like Reaper CAV and Pendraken sci-fi. I have used some of the Whiz Kids Mech Warrior stuff for 10mm.

Well, the poll did at least get over 30 responses. I'm still not sure about how representative the respondents are.

Judging by how few makers do 10mm scifi, though, I'd have to say it's a low starter compared to 15mm, and 15mm is way behind 28mm (if you include 40k in 28mm scifi).

Dropzone Commander makes nice 10mm Sci-fi.

A lot more 6mm SF out there today than before. And in many cases, e.g. 10mm vehicles, structures, etc., work very well for 6mm. Plus aliens come in all shapes & sizes. So 3-12mm could work for 6-12mm as well, IMO.

And let us not forget GW's going for 8mm (!?) … huh? TMP link

As the originator of this poll, I am interested in how strongly the feeling against 10mm is, though the number of responses make it hardly conclusive And yes, the lines between some of these sizes blur s little ( Though saying that to Microscale Moderns players might be . . . Unwise ) so 6mm seems to still be more than relevant.

And while the 15mm SF ranges grow at 6mm's expense there's a lot of potential growth there too. Thanks to all who commented ;)
