(Time to put some sharks – or fins at least – on your gaming table … TMP link , TMP link ) Remember "Air Jaws", and similar documentaries, and how they claimed only South African white sharks breached to catch prey? Cape Cod, August 2015:
San Francisco Bay (Alcatraz*), October 2015: YouTube link Prisoners there long ago used to talk about sharks and other sea animals around Alcatraz, near the dump sites, and people later dismissed it all as tales told by the guards. Go figure. Cape Cod, August 2017:
Just when you thought it was safe to look like a dangling fish or to move a jumping seal … Dan PS. This white shark in Mexico looks a bit too big and pregnant to be the jumping type, but who knows, right? She should be able to accomplish anything that any pregnant male can do, if she really puts her mind to it. :)

Bull sharks are smaller but in many ways more dangerous than Whites. And they jump too: in this case into a netted off swimming enclosure for children:

That first gif looks fishy(pun noticed not intended) to me. The other look to be more in the way of breaches than out right leaps like in South Africa. |

That first one is from a documentary I watched about the population of white sharks in Cape Cod. They were following the shark because it was already tagged and they could track it … it was in turn tracking its dinner. Skomal was the guy: YouTube link If I find a video clip of that jump, I'll make sure to share it. Anyway, they suspect the water wasn't deep enough for the shark to get the speed it needed to make that jump properly. But 1) it is a great white, 2) it's jumping out of water, and 3) the jump was to catch prey. The other two are also classic "air jaws" attacks. But, unlike the first one, they were clearly successful in catching their objective prey. Dan |

I was just watching a documentary on this very subject. There was a freak storm just off the coast at Los Angeles. It cause sharks to jump and rain down all over the city causing dangerous interactions with numerous civilians. The original documentary was so well accepted that they made several follow on episodes. imdb.com/list/ls020776076 |

ZOC LOL. Those sharks had a little help from giant tornadoes (water spouts)! Dan |
