Yes, but it is way funnier when it happens to dictators who deserve it. And they can't blame it on rain-slicked stairs.

Funny how it was all over Univision (on their news, comedy shows, etc) at one point, though that was back when it was still mindful of the feelings of Cuban exiles and the feelings of tens of millions of other pro-American Hispanics. Now they cater to a whole different audience in the US.

And yet most of the US English-language networks barely covered it, least of all play the clip.

Things that make you go … hmm, right?

Dan
PS. My 94-year old Mom, who lost family (uncles and cousins) to the Castros and their thugs, cracks up every time I play that October 2004 clip :)

I hope something similar happened to Batista this b that case.

Lol. Me too. Good try at diversion though.

But Castro was supposed to be a much better option for the people. So his misery always made many Cuban victims very happy.

Plus Batista is barely a memory to most. Yet the Castro totalitarian system still stands, even now with Raul and Miguel. Each neighborhood and city block has party loyal residents who serve as political commissars, and who will keep logs on you, and who will turn you in if you say the wrong things about the regime.

I know a family right here in the USA that have a portrait of him and Marx on the wall above the couch!!
They took over our educational institutions in the 60s and I am afraid it is dire.
New York bristling at Chick-fil-a because of Christian principles-- who would have ever thunk it???

I want to invent a new word:
"Stupidocrats"

I am not sure how well "trickle down" actually works?
However, I absolutely positively know that not one single time in my 68 years have I had one single penny "trickle up" from the poor.

Lol. Hmm. I wonder why there are still more people trying to leave that regime than there are those who are looking to move there.

Shouldn't Castro's admirers in the West be looking for a way to move there to add their own individual uniqueness to that collective and share in that grand utopia? :)

If the West is so horrible and intolerable, why aren't they building makeshift boats to move to Cuba*, North Korea, Communist China, etc?

Dan
* And I don't mean those looking to move there to avoid punishment after killing a police officer, planting bombs or robbing a weapons facility or armored bank vehicle.

Some years back, while visiting a gaming convention in the UK, I recall a whole group of gamers, very artfully explaining to me how the Berlin Wall was actually built to keep people out ??? 🙂

Did Castro ever really say this? Or just imperialist capitalist propaganda? :)

I really would love to find a 28mm or larger figure of Castro.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
