Check out this living bridge in Chirripunji, India!

Is that awesome or what? I can see something like that useful for SF, VSF, Fantasy, Pulp, etc.

I can imagine these next ribbons could be used to make the roots, vines or tendrils, perhaps attached with a little bit of wire, but then given a light brush of gesso or acrylic filler, right? Perhaps with brown/green paint premixed with the gesso or filler:

PS. Or perhaps using just a hot glue gun?

Great find and suggestions
. I feel a new alien coming on… At the very least some wild way of ornamenting a door or module in the ship. Glue-gun glue is great stuff!

If you try it out, please post pictures. I'd be very interested to see both your progress and final results.

You could try this…. link

mjkerner27 Mar 2018 7:34 a.m. PST

Shoot! Don't know why that link turned out that way. And to boot, on my monitor, it didn't wrap and it stretched so far that the "Edit" button is off screen and I can't delete it! (Editors…please delete the string)

Anyway, a 3D doodler might work.

PSS…No edit button, I guess. Must be thinking of another forum. But no Delete button showing either, and its only been a few minutes since posting….

@mjkerner: You can blame it on Dan; his post was so wide, the buttons were probably off the edge of the screen. ;->=

I had to side-scroll to see the date stamp.

I'll try…

Edit: Yepper, that seemed to work.

Never put much stock in those doodlers, and the costs tended to scare me off, but this might be a good project, and the price is even better than the clearance ones I've seen.

I don't know what I did. It looked fine last night, even with the picture.

Anyway, I just now hit refresh and the screen got a little bit better. At least the date/timestamp shows up on screen now.

So sorry.

Just teasing, lad.

I'm just lucky I've never been dawghaus'd for some of the dumb things I've done!

Actually, DOES look better. I wonder if it may have been a temporary forum glitch. If so, consider your apology retracted. ;->=

Wow, that bridge looks so cool viewed from any angle.

There are others in the area, but that one is my favorite one so far.

Thanks The Beast and Dan! (And Dan, no need to ever apologize to me…your postings are always great!)

Thanks!

It freaked me out too. :)

By the way, was recently down in Orlando, and while I got a lot more bang-for-the-buck at Universal, I did enjoy Pandora at DW.
