I know this is a bit of a long shot but can't hurt to ask. While in the USAF stationed in Germany from 1997 to 2001, my son and I attended a gaming convention at a British army base somewhere close to the Rhine. Don't suppose anyone would know what base it could have been?

Yep that's the place!! My son and I attended sometime between 97-2001. The highlight was playing a WWII tank game as Americans against an active German tank commander and his son, who of course played Germans.
