On a Discussion on " where the heck did the DBX threads vanish to?" TMP link I opined the following.
How about a Poll Suggestion? "Should the rules whose threads were totally transferred to the Rules Forum be restored to the main message boards?" I followed a link on the DBA board hidden away in the Rules Forum. Lo and behold, the last entry was in September of 2017. I propose the threads on "active" games be restored to the main Message Boards, the way they were before. It's kind of silly to hide DBA with the notoriously ill-named "Fast Play" Rules. DBA is arguably the most popular Ancients rules around. Not to mention a bunch of mimeographed sets from the 70s and 80s. I don't have a dog in THIS fight. I'm just glad that MY favorite Rules, The Sword and the Flame, did not suffer a similar fate. I think the Rules Forum might have been a good idea. Back in 2001. But now, to isolate DBA in the difficult to find ghetto with rules nobody has read in 20 years is problematic at best. So, I humbly beseech Dear Editor in the words of Cromwell.
I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken. If the purpose of the Rules Forum is to make it easy for TMPers to find a set of rules discussions, I venture to suggest that it has been a failure. That the DBA board has had no activity in 5 month is indicative of that. Actually, I think that a Poll would be superfluous. Dear Editor should simply make an Editorial Decision and restore status quo ante. That's what editors do. Decide and edit.

Agree. There might have been something to it, but waiting for the developers to request a place for their rules seems daft. There is 100% chance that some never will. Can one cross post from a normal discussion forum to a ruleset forum? |

Yes! I don't even know how to find that board anymore, and I used to have it on my main page. |

I agree. The present system hides the rules discussions and as such no discussions seem to happen. Bring 'em back to the main forum I say. |

I find it odd that some games get their own forum, some don't. Lots that do are old and see little traffic whereas newer games are not covered. Any change seems to happen at such a slow pace things are out of date when they arrive. |

I think it would be very good and boost traffic, so yes. |

Yes. The Rules Forum was a nice idea that turned out to be a discussion killer. |
