In Saint Charles County we have former Department of Energy site link They have a great FREE meeting room there. It is at least 30 x 30. There is a coffee maker, microwave and nice bathrooms. It also has ample parking. To take advantage of this space, which has tables enough to host half a dozen games simultaneously, I have provisionally formed the Weldon Spring Gamers. I am running a huge bug game on the President's day weekend (February 17,18,19 2018) to inaugurate this group. The event is FREE and runs from 0800 to 2000 Saturday and Sunday and till 1700 on Monday. I'd like to get a group together that uses this s space once a month for open gaming. Weldon Spring is located on highway 94 just south of 40/64 so is easy to get to for most folks We have room for lots of players on presidents weekend so please spread the word widely. Everything except food is provided. Rules are modified Sword and the Flame. If you don't know them we will teach you! Any interest or feedback would be most welcome

I have the Official use permit for the event! THis is a FREE event. The address is: Weldon Spring Site Interpretive Center lm.doe.gov/Weldon 7295 Highway 94 South St. Charles, MO 63304 It is about a mile south of Highway 40/61 on Highway 94 in southern St Charles county. It is easily reached from most parts of the greater St Louis metro area. Doors open at 8:00 AM Saturday Morning February 17th and we will game from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday. The game will be The Hive and the Flame in 15mm and everything will be provided. We will have tables set aside for folks to bring models, miniatures or terrain that they have made. Display your handiwork! Please tell your friends and spread the word through the gaming community. We are hoping that we can make this a regular event. There is additional space available on site, which is also FREE, so if the event goes well it can be expanded. Also since it is free you can come for an hour or for all three days! Can't wait to see you there!

The space was excellent. The weather sucked, as we got snow the first day. We had about twenty people show up over the two days, which I thought wasn't bad for a first time. We used Monday to pick everything up. TMP link TMP link I was able to check a lot of things I intended to do at Origins this year. I already reserved the same weekend for next year!
