I guess nobody from TMP is going to Fall In this year. That's a shame. I am, and I will both play games and run a game.

John Michael Priest23 Oct 2017 3:11 p.m. PST

I am running a 54mm ACW called Drive Those Fellows Out of There. It is a battalion/brigade level game on a 5X15 table. Each player command a brigade or a battery of artillery. It is an action/ reaction game which plays pretty fast, which will have several independent actions gong on simultaneously. Children under 14 must have an accompanying playing adult. Rules are my own.

Sounds fun, John.

John, I haven't pre-registered for any games on Saturday. When are you running this and are walk-ups okay?

surdu200523 Oct 2017 5:32 p.m. PST

Stop by the HAWKs room. There is always something good going In there.

John Michael Priest23 Oct 2017 5:56 p.m. PST

Saturday 10 and 2 Sunday 9. Walk ups welcome if there is room. Can handle 12-14 players but it will be noisy.

I'm running a bunch of narrative linked games following the 95th Infantry Division in WWII (following the trail of my grandfather as an FOO) using Disposable Heroes II both Friday and Saturday.

This will be the first HMGS convention in over 10 years that I will miss. I have a family commitment to attend. Have fun running and playing in all the wonderful games that will be put on. My wife and I will see everyone at Cold Wars.

There are a lot going… pre-reg numbers look good, as do will call already, etc….

The vendor hall is pretty much packed…..

I am praying for a good show. A lot of folks worked hard to make this happen as usual…. this includes GM's and vendors!!!!

TSD10124 Oct 2017 12:14 p.m. PST

I am praying for a good show.

If the show manages to keep more people after dinner time on Saturday I will call it a huge success.

John Michael Priest24 Oct 2017 5:16 p.m. PST

Correction. My afternoon game on Saturday is at 3 not 2

Poniatowski25 Oct 2017 4:59 a.m. PST

John,

Are you sure you didn't put an alternate time in? The PEL and Program pull directly form the data source…. I don't touch it unless there is an error with the descriptions, etc…. I will have to look!

Kimber VanRy26 Oct 2017 8:22 p.m. PST

Running Fort Necessity at noon (game is full) and I may be helping run a skirmish at the Montmorency River July 26, 1759 Game (just added) in the afternoon. Both in 28mm using Musket & Tomahawks rules and hosted by members of Metropolitan Wargamers in Brooklyn, NY.

John Michael Priest27 Oct 2017 3:42 a.m. PST

Thanks, Dan. I am rechecking with the PEL. Sorry for foul up.

Poniatowski27 Oct 2017 4:23 a.m. PST

John, Also remember, there is always wiggle room too… this can be taken care of on site too.

PJ ONeill29 Oct 2017 12:21 p.m. PST

I am running an ACW game "McLemoure's Cove" a hypothetical set a week before Chickamauga. It is S-350, now set for 10AM Saturday, but am planning to postpone it to 16:00 (4PM). I tried to postpone in the PEL addendums, but that didn't work out. Look for a printed sign at the game reg table- "S-350 postponed to 4PM, location xxx (TBD). Thanks.

stalinsorgan30 Oct 2017 4:32 p.m. PST

I'll be running a Bolt Action Demo "Road to Caen" game Friday at 9 and then the historically accurate Bolt Action Z game at 4 on Friday. Initially I was going to play in the Bolt Action tournament Saturday but I'll be helping to run it instead this time around. And probably sell stuff in the Flea Market Sunday but that's not quite a game.
