I opened a Flickr account, haven't done any linking yet to see how it will work for me.

However, I have in the past seen it used by others here on TMP and elsewhere.

I'd like to recommend Google Photos because of how easy they make upload (automatic from my Android phone) and adding to folders.

But I do have two problems:

1) They don't make it easy to come up with a link to embed the picture here or in forums. I can do it, but always wonder how long the link will work that way.

2) I'd really like something with a better photo / text combination so that it works well for battle reports. I suppose I could get a blog, but that seems like more than I really want.

Imgur are really good and simple to use :)

Andy, what do you mean by "photo/text combination?"

You can link from a blog if you have one. The photo only needs to be in the blog library – not necessarily used in a blog post.

I'd like a caption for each photo. I think a blog is a lot of text with some photos, and I just want pictures with a bit of text. A blog would do it, I guess. But it doesn't feel like what I want.

I have quite a few time recently looked at this and still haven't pulled that trigger.

I just found out that you can edit the Google Photo albums (from one of the … menus) and add text. Shoot, that is what I've wanted all along.
