The thing is… you were never going to buy 8th edition at any point. You were always going to go for the Kickstarter. You just used it as an opportunity to rubbish a GW product from the get go. It just seems really bizarre that you should be so obsessed with trolling them and their products. You are like the angry ex who sits outside all the time, and follows them everywhere. |

I can't take anything Mithmee says seriously. Read his borderline racist comment here… TMP link I think he just comes on here looking for a fight or an argument. Why else is he constantly on the Warhammer 40k board when he clearly hates anything to do with Warhammer 40k? |

The dude doesn't think the world is round, literally said that it wasn't. |

He'll probably blame GW for discontinuing the dinosaurs |

The dude doesn't think the world is round, literally said that it wasn't. Yes I did because it not. link As for the Borderline Racist remark you can come over to the Blue Fez and we can discuss that. He'll probably blame GW for discontinuing the dinosaurs. No, only: Squats Warhammer Fantasy Battle Warhammer 40K Epic Man-O-War plus so many other items |

Goes to prove that the world isn't round. Posts link to article showing that the world is round. |

No this is round.
What I posted above is not.

The first object is perfectly spherical. Both objects are round. round round/ adjective adjective: round 1. shaped like or approximately like a circle or cylinder. "she was seated at a small, round table" synonyms: circular, ring-shaped, disk-shaped, hoop-shaped; More spherical, spheroidal, globular, globe-shaped, orb-shaped; cylindrical; bulbous, rounded, rotund; technicalannular, discoid "a round window" having a curved shape like part of the circumference of a circle. "round arches" 2. shaped like or approximately like a sphere. "a round glass ball" (of a person's body) plump. comparative adjective: rounder; superlative adjective: roundest synonyms: plump, chubby, fat, full "round cheeks" antonyms: thin having a curved surface with no sharp or jagged projections. "the boulders look round and smooth" You don't even know the definition of simple, common words in your native language. You don't understand the concept of inflation. You seem to have some difficulty with simple math here and there. Yet you presume to know better than a publicly traded company that has been around for decades how they should conduct their business. Maybe it is time you gave your world view a rethink. |

I am not the one that has issues with determining shapes. You seem to have some difficulty with simple math here and there. What I do know is that I am going to get far more miniatures for far less money. |

I have a huge collection of 18mm Early Napoleonic miniatures that probably cost a lot more than I've spent on GW products…but cost per figure is a hell of a lot less. They are two entirely different things though. They can't be compared. A French Revolutionary Demi-brigade consisting of 32 18mm metal figures, based 8 to a base is not the same as a ten man set of 28mm plastic space marines. The scales and genre involve a completely different painting style. The rules as well are completely different. I also have a large collection of starships, mostly Trek inspired, that can't be compared in a cost, quantity or rule based way with a set of space marines. The point is Mithmee, you pretend to have an open comparison between two products that aren't really comparible. If you had compared a Gates of Antares starter set with the new 40k box that may have been useful. If you have weighed up all the pros and cons, including availability, access to opponents, range of figures, expansion ability etc, then maybe you would have had a fair and interesting thread. You didn't. You compared a product you WERE going to buy, to a product you WERE NOT going to buy, and disguised it as a choice you were having to make. There was no decision making here. It was like posting "Tea or Coffee? Well, I don't like Coffee so I'll but Tea!" and hoping that the whole coffee loving community would shout "Look at Mithmee, He drink Tea. Tea good, coffee bad! Lets all stop drinking coffee so we can be like Mithmee!" Basically you hate GW and wanted to try and get a reaction from a childish "Ha Ha, Look at me, I have more miniatutes for less money!" But thank you, I was in a grumpy mood but I get to gripe about you instead of working. |

"I am not the one that has issues with determining shapes." This is denial, you don't actually know what the word "round" means. It is right there. "What I do know is that I am going to get far more miniatures for far less money." And see this is where your math difficulties come in again. You can't really add things to one of these products without taking in similar considerations for the other, which is what you did. You added taxes to the GW product, but not the Zombiecide product. You didn't add shipping to the Zombiecide product which you wouldn't have to pay for the GW product. In the end the two products have a very similar cost. Certainly one would be hard pressed to say that $150 USD-160 is "far less money" than $170. USD |
Mithmee | 29 Jun 2017 7:53 a.m. PST |
Actually, I am going to spend well over $200 USD on this Kickstarter and still get a far better deal than that 8th Edition box set. Oh and like nearly three times the miniatures. |

There is no value to be had in spending a small amount of money for a lot something that doesn't interest me. Likewise Mithmee doesn't want to give GW money for something that apparently fails to interest him (in a positive way). I collect ancients, in 15mm and 6mm. Specifically 2nd punic war and successors. I can get masses of either scale much more cheaply than any mainstream scifi fantasy minis line. However, I wouldn't trade 100 of my tiny 6mm Romans for 50,000 28mm plastic zombies. Similarly, when I'm feeling the call of the grimdark, I'll gladly forgo buying 1000 6mm Romans in order to get one forgeworld dreadnought. |

Hey, I just played my 3rd game of 8th with my Primaris marines. It was a lot of fun. Do you have any WIP pics of your zombies, Mithmee? |
