In the television department, CBS has revealed the first image from their new STAR TREK: DISCOVERY series showing Michelle Yeoh, playing a captain of a starship, and lead star Sonequa Martin Green who plays a commander of the Discovery helmed by Jason Isaacs. Set before the original series, the series will air sometime later this year. Maybe"

I'd be much more comfortable with this show if they actually were to broadcast it, rather than use their idiotic streaming service. That, and if they hadn't canned the showrunner who actually loved Trek, and allowed the "Enterpise-killing" network-head to micromanage it. |

Very bad feeling about all this. I can't shake a vision of PC drivel with really excellent production values, which is the current default setting. Fortunately, the supply of good old stuff is vast. I watched William Powell in The Kennel Murder Case last night, and read a James Warner Bellah western short story this morning. 84 and 70 years old, respectively, and both new to me. |

Be careful guys, there are many of those types who would find that "offensive" "lurking" about on TMP. They might even be upset I said, "Kick alien Butt !" … They may think that would be offensive to "aliens", i.e. ETs, EIs, etc. …
