If I were them, I'd change the company name to Gringos – I imagine many people miss great 28mm figs like this because they assume they're 40mm!

Must agree with that.

great painting job here.

de Grouchy has been released for some time actually and mine is sitting looking accusingly at me, asking for some attention. The Napoleonic Personality range is superb and I now see an addition…an ADC on foot CG11 for £1.95 GBP. Looked awfully familiar though and I remembered him as The Officer of Engineers FGG4 at £1.75 GBP, so an instant bargain to be had from Ged!

deadhead, I agree, nice paintwork on a great figure. M'Lord I would have thought it was 40mm without you saying so. Cheers!

very nicely painted, great eye for detail – like the interior of hat

I donno, that uniform reminds more of a Mexican general of 1848-49 than Napoleonic, [with the stars in the embroidery and short hair] but then it may just be the name:
Gringos40…

Countless images of de Grouchy in this rig.

The short hair. Was not Boney known as Le Tondu?

The uniform?

Just Google "Grouchy General Chasseurs" and look at images…….models in larger scales, several paintings…strangely no photographs though…..wonder why?

This look has a strong provenance…..evidence based

My only problem is that I have spent hours trying to find my figure and Rappe etc…..where did I put them?

I love the understated gold lace here. It looks more beige than gold…..and, let's face it, that is how gold lace should look. It does not sparkle and reflect. Less convinced by the sword scabbard…..that should do so

Glad you like it boys.

Just worked it out. Their new figure is Lannes as shown here, not Grouchy
