For a second I thought those were photos of the diorama on display in the Alamo. I was in San Antonio a few years ago and toured the Alamo and remember seeing a cool diorama.

That is a really nice diorama. I've been to the Alamo and it was one of the best battle sites I have ever seen.

Amazing diorama, simply amazing. I was wondering what was used to simulate the muzzle blasts, cotton balls that had been pulled apart?
Also, I'm looking for some advice for a much smaller diorama I'm working on. It is of a column of U.S. Cavalry coming over a pass into a canyon with flankers out on both ridge lines. It's essentially fininshed except I'm not happy with what I've used to simulate small clouds of dust arrising from the holves of 100 horses moving at a gallop along the canyon bottom. I used cotton batting, stretched and shaped, slightly tinted with some of my wife's makeup to somewhat darken it. It's ok, but I'm hoping to do better. Any suggestions.

Looks like I'll be repainting/touching up some of my Blue Moon model. Now if I could just get the guys to play.
