All, I am looking for an image of the prussian SYW/Early Napoleonic standards from GMB design in order to make final decision, which of the vendors to go with on this prussian project. IF you can supply a picture from your collect of 28mm or preferably 15mm version is appreciated. My main interest is in the central emblem area, since there appears to be several versions. link scrow down to the flags at the bottom.
Thanks MG |

After some breakthrough in my research I see now this is not straight forward and there are several "issue of flags present" per TMP link of the SYW TMP message board So to narrow what I like to see, would be the later versions issued by FtG or after, with FWR monograms. These had eagle and ribbon above it with a different arrangement than the version of the first link in my earlier post. Many thanks MG |

Here an overview of the Prussian standards which survived the 1806/7 campaigns: link Generally, the standards from the times of Friedrich Wilhelm I continued to be carried. Only if they were no longer usable or lost on campaign, they were replaced. So in many regiments some squadrons carried standards of the old pattern (FWR, non soli cedit) from the times of Friedrich Wilhelm I, and some squadrons standards issued by Friedrich II, of the newer pattern (FR, pro gloria et patria). |

Thank you Oliver for that source that clarifies the existence of the 2 designs ( Call it pre FtG FWR and FtG FR) SO am I to understand it…. that there are no SYW or 1806 figure collectors, an who do not blog or have pictures or use the GMB Design flags…. none…. REALLY! Some one must have at least the Cuirassier regt #4 (FWR style) and or #6 (FR style) and the Dragoon #6 (FWR style) and or #7 ( FR style) or ones like those of other units with GMB flags? Your presentation of such is greatly appreciated MG |

I think that you will be pleased with the GMB flags. I recommend that you use them. |
